Built on a real grapevine base, this wreath layers faux huckleberry, ruscus and wispy foliage stems in deep burgundy and dusty plum, punctuated by clusters of faux thistle blooms in a soft, muted pink. The overall effect is rich but not heavy — somewhere between a hedgerow in late summer and a cottage garden gone beautifully to seed.
The colour palette moves between dark wine, rose and a hint of warm brown, giving it an almost botanical, dried-flower quality without any of the fragility. It works well on a front door, but is equally at home hung against a dark-painted wall or above a fireplace through the autumn and into winter.
The wreath is about 50cm across, leaf tip to leaf tip, although it will vary at different points. The grapevine base has a 30cm diameter.
